CRASHLESS safety edge
The
CAPTIVE crashless resistive edge is certified as a
class 2 safety device according to EN 12978
The
CRASHLESS ("impactless") function allows, for most of the gate's travel, to avoid collision with obstacles, cars or people.
The
two inhibitory magnets perform a dual function:
- they deactivate the capacitive part when the gate is stopped to save battery life
- during the closing phase, the capacitive device would read the closing column as an obstacle, but the magnets connected to the receiver inhibit the crashless function, leaving the safety edge active
It is recommended to synchronize the inhibition of the capacitive function with the slowing down of the motor to more easily fall within the crash force limits imposed by current regulations.

The
ACTIVE-R3 safety edge is a small and discreet safety edge with
conductive technology that ensures rapid response to impacts,
over the entire length of the structure. The ACTIVE-R safety edge transmits the signal through the built-in two-way radio transmitter (868 MHz) powered by two 3.6V lithium batteries.
This edge is certified as a
safety device cat.2, EN 12978..
The ACTIVE-R is easy to install and can be shortened to make it perfectly fit your needs.
